Download ParkMe onto your smartphone or tablet and find the closest and cheapest parking spot near your current location or at your destination. This free app, which works with Apple devices, provides real-time occupancy info at parking facilities in 300 cities nationwide, along with up-to-date pricing, hours of operation, accepted payment types, and the locations of entrances. Choose your mode of transport (car, oversized vehicle, or motorcycle), the duration of your stay (from an hour to a week, for instance), and your top preference (closer, cheaper, or something in between). The app also provides on-street metered parking availability in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, San Francisco, Austin, Texas, Seattle, and Philadelphia.  www.parkme.com
