If you’re a fan of National Public Radio and PBS, and like to cruise, you may want to check out what Artful Travelers is offering, a company in Palm Spring, Calif. They’re partnering with Regent Seven Seas Cruises to connect guests with public broadcasting personalities, as well as some from the entertainment world, aboard the all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Voyager.

A couple of trips: Gateways of Antiquity, May 4-18, where guests get a free three-night, pre-cruise land program in Luxor and Cairo before sailing from Luxor to Rome, with ports of call in Jordan, Israel, Turkey, Cyprus and Greece. Travelers can interact with folks like PBS moderator and author, Gwen Ifill; NPR Cairo Bureau Chief Leila Fadel; Emmy and Tony-nominated actor Victor Garber; Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey; executive producer Jeffrey Richman; and Hollywood lensman, Michael Childers.

Or later in the year, the Indian Ocean Odyssey, Dec. 3-22, which explores modern Dubai and then sails to India, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar and Singapore, celebrating the work of Frontline and American Experience, with celebrities David Fanning of Frontline; Mark Samels of American Experience; electoral analyst Charlie Cook; Frontline’s Raney Aronson-Rath; Arun Rath of PRI’s The World; and Renata Simone of Frontline. Some of them were born or raised in regions being explored, said Kevin Corcoran, president of Artful Travelers.

Bring your camera and autograph book – and a big wallet: Voyage fares start at $8,999 per person, based on double occupancy, and can be booked at Crown Cruise Vacations through Artful Travelers by calling 855-788-7880 or emailing info@artfultravelers.com, or through your own travel agent.
