Vacations are for relaxing. And, in a society increasingly concerned with health, so is working out in between those relaxing times. The latest American Express Spending and Savings Tracker reports that 19 percent of travelers are working in working out into their summer travels.

One place, Red Mountain Resort in St. George, Utah, has created a series of specialized retreat packages for that purpose, the new “Weekend Warrior Retreat,” starting at $295 per person, a program aimed at breaking through weight loss and performance plateaus. The package includes accommodations, boot camp class, TRX small group class, canyon view yoga and two personal training sessions with a starter kit. Packages are offered through December. 2.jpg
