Provincetown on the tip of Cape Cod now has a new free smart-phone app that officials say is as unique as the town itself. The iPtown app has about a dozen different sections to help visitors and local find services, food and lodging, shopping, special events and happenings. It offers hundreds of links to businesses and attraction websites and connects users directly to businesses via phone. The app uses images particular to Ptown like a town crier, street artist, a pet fetching a Frisbee, cycling shopper, and a rainbow-covered town scene welcoming the LGBT community.

The iPtown app is free and available on all platforms.
