As part of a new campaign, the Tourism Authority of Thailand introduces “Thailand for Two,” which is designed to make Thailand a premier honeymoon and romance destination for couples. The initiative is part of a partnership with XO Group Inc., a global media and tech leader with a top-ranked wedding website, www.theknot.com

To celebrate the partnership, the tourism group and The Knot are holding a contest through July 24 that will send four couples to Thailand. Couples are required to enter online at the “Tourism for Two” site where they can explain why Thailand would be their perfect romantic destination. Eight semifinalist couples will be chosen to attend a dinner in New York, where they’ll meet with editors from The Knot and representatives from the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Four couples will then be picked for honeymoon packages that include round-trip airfare, stays at some of Thailand’s best hotels, and a professional honeymoon photo shoot. The packages will take the winners to popular honeymoon spots including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Krabi.
