To mark the inauguration of Yale University’s 23rd president, Peter Salovey, on Oct. 13, many New Haven restaurants are offering dining deals pegged to the number, from Oct. 11-13. Participating restaurants will offer several dining options for $23 each. Caseus Fromagerie & Bistro and Ordinary, for example, is going with a $23 cheese and charcuterie platter, and Miya’s Sushi has a same-priced "President Salovey’s Sushi Especial," which includes a 10-piece sampler. Heirloom Restaurant is offering a specialty cocktail, dubbed "23." Other restaurants joining the numerical theme include 116 Crown, Bentara, Briq, Kitchen Zinc, Thali, Union League Café and Zinc. There are 18 eateries in all, and for a list and more information, visit inauguration.yale.edu/general-information For New Haven info, and accommodations, check out www.infonewhaven.com
