The Charles Hotel in Harvard Square, next to the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, is offering a cut rate tonight for those who may be stranded in the recent storm and don’t feel like braving a drive home. The hotel’s rate for tonight is $159; the usual rate is $259 a night. The Charles has been open since 1984 and over the years has had guests such as President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, the Dalai Lama and Ben Affleck.
