Power-packed lineup at Montreal Jazz Festival

The 35th edition of the Montreal Jazz Festival looks to be a powerful one, running June 26 to July 6.

Grammy award-winning vocalist Bobby McFerrin performs on PBS.

Included in the lineup are: Diana Ross, holder of a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, in addition to many others; Keith Jarrett, pianist and composer; Bobby McFerrin, known for much more than his “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” hit years ago; “Zappa Plays Zappa,” headed by Dweezil Zappa, son of legend Frank; Ginger Baker Jazz Confusion with Pee Wee Ellis, Alec Dankworth and Abass Dodoo, Baker the former Cream drummer (with Eric Clapton); and “For the Record: Tarantino in Concert,” a troupe of dancers, musicians and performers doing musical versions of cult scenes from movie director Quentin Tarantino’s films.
