Byron Rushing isn't on the campaign trail; the state rep is leading the trail on the Catch the Spirit Tour where you'll learn about 375 years of Roxbury's religious history. The trolley tour covers the English Puritans through the 20th-century movement of synagogues, black churches, and mosques. Sites include the First Church in Roxbury, St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church (check out the gorgeous stained glass), and Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center. Lunch is at Daddy Grace's United House of Prayer. May 30 from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Rain or shine. Departs from Back Bay Station at 9:30 a.m. and Roxbury Heritage State Park/DCR (183 Roxbury St.) at 9:45 a.m. $32 (advance tickets required; lunch is included). 617-427-1006. www.discoverroxbury.org![]()
