The city's most classical, and arguably most impressive, fountain is in the courtyard of the Boston Public Library. The courtyard and fountain were modeled after the palace courtyard at Cancelleria Palace in Rome and the bronze cast fountain statue, entitled "Bacchante and Infant Faun" was made by Frederick MacMonnies.
