Words and ideas swim across the room in the Hall of Ideas before disappearing into the air. Thanks to the wonderful collaboration of the world of technology and media designer David Small, a graduate of the MIT Media Lab, quotes flow through the fountain in the center of the room, creep toward the rim, and spill onto the floor and up the walls before they disappear into oblivion.
The idea behind this hall is to celebrate the unique and important ideas that have inspired individuals and changed our society over the course of history. Acclaimed glass sculptor Howard Ben Tré designed the centerpiece artwork in the hall. This cast glass and bronze sculpture produces lapping quotes from some of the most famous influential thinkers in history.
