Amazing Spaces

The Enormous Room in Cambridge In the mood to unleash your inner hipster? Head to the Enormous Room above Central Kitchen in Cambridge. You can lounge on one of the bar’s plush couches and enjoy the Moroccan décor. When the Globe’s Sheryl Julian asked chef-owner Gary Strack how he would describe the restaurant/bar, Strack called it 'quirky, 'alternative, and “inherently different.' You can hop onto a platform adorned with big pillows and an Oriental rug and listen to an ecclectic mix of rotating DJs who play anything from jazz to R&B and electronica. Try an “enormous” plate of North African, Middle Eastern, Spanish, or Turkish mezza dishes. The food arrives on a big tray and everyone in your party eats off the dish. You know you've found this slightly hidden space when you spy the elephant stenciled onto the glass door downstairs.
