Isnt it surprising when the public places yield private spaces? Nestled among the 24 acres that comprise the Boston Public Garden is this weeping European beech tree (Fagus sylvatica pendula'.) It's located in the northeast corner, near the maintenance shed closest to the Triton Babies fountain. Estimated to be between 50-80 years old, it was bred to take this weeping form—creating a lush, leafy canopy for picnickers and lovebirds alike.
