The flashiest car in the State Polices fleet also happens to be its cheapest. This 1989 Chevrolet Corvette was a seizure by detectives and in deplorable condition when it arrived at headquarters. However, the high school students at Nashoba Valley Technical Institute breathed new life into the car in December 2003, refurbishing it in four months and even hand-painting the shield that is emblazoned on the cars hood. Total price tag for the state? Zero dollars.
