With a 360-degree view of the airport and its runways, the control tower at Logan International Airport is the all-seeing eye above Boston. Federal Aviation Administration air traffic controllers Charlie Milan, Matt McCluskey, and John Melecio, from left to right, clear planes for take-offs and landings at Logan. The team has its hands full - in 2006, Logan was the 23d busiest tower in the country, handling 415,073
takeoffs and landings, said Arlene Salac-Murray,
manager of the FAA's Office of External Communications.
