Boston Ballet Practice
Rehearsals run daily from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Luckily, the dancers get a 15 minute break, as shown here, between company class and rehearsal. Katherine Hartsell (left) has been with the ballet since 2004, but this is her first year as a member of the corps de ballet.

“Being a dancer is a full-time body and soul kind of job. There is much challenge in that intensity, but also much reward. This environment is infused with so much talent, and I am constantly learning about technique, artistry, and humanity by being immersed in it,” says Hartsell.
