Linger with a group of friends, lean in for whisper-close conversations, or peruse the singles scene at the Foundation Lounge, literally in the foundation of the Hotel Commonwealth.
On an early Saturday evening, high-heeled and leather-shoe clad women and men trickled in to sip pre-dinner cocktails and taste creations from the Zensai menu, which, according to the bar, is a fancy way of saying Japanese-inspired finger food. Arrive early to secure a spot on the nuzzle-worthy sofas, some of which had Reserved signs as early as 6 p.m.
