A statue of Samuel Adams, famous patriot and revolutionary, greets visitors at one end of Faneuil Hall. Born in nearby Quincy, Adams played many roles in the rebellion against British colonial rule, and later served both in the first Continental Congress and as the governor of Massachusetts.
