There is a new obstacle cyclists must overcome at the 2014 Tour de France — selfie-obsessed fans jumping onto the route.
Tour de France officials, as well as cyclists, are sending warnings on Twitter after an accident occurred because of a selfie.
American cyclist Tejay van Garderen called the trend a “dangerous mix of vanity and stupidity” on his Twitter account yesterday. He also tweeted the following, with the hashtag “#think”:
