Love Ikea? Need a new bedroom set? Flying through Paris? You might get some home decorating ideas from somewhere other than the Musee d'Orsay next time you're in the City of Light. Or you just might cure jetlag thanks to a comfortable place to cat-nap before your next flight.
Ikea just set up a pop-up shop in Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport - and it's for more than just shopping.
If you can't get down to Stoughton to tour to store - or just can't fathom the insane crowds that converge there on weekends for Swedish meatballs - take a tour through terminal 3 if you're flying through Paris this summer and check out what's new from the Swedish home design shop.
The Ikea lounge is open through Aug. 5 and includes nine bedrooms bedrooms (set up to accommodate tired travelers who want a little shut-eye in between flights), a living room, a play area for children, and TVs and sofas for those who aren't interested in shopping or napping, and just want to kick their feet up before venturing onward.
According to the New York Daily News, the Ikea lounge is staffed with hostesses who can give you a tour or show you to a quiet resting place. Find something you like? Let the staff know and they'll find out where it's housed so you can have it for your home.
