veranda-house.jpgIt's never to early to plan your vacation. Some of the best rates are often off-season, so if you can escape before school vacation and avoid holiday weekends, you could take advantage of some great pre-season summer packages on Nantucket.

Nantucket’s The Veranda House and Chapman House are currently offering a special "Countdown to Summer 3-2-1" package available from May 27 through June 27. The package includes two complimentary round trip passes on the Steamship Authority’s FastFerry service from Hyannis (valued at $158) and a three night stay and one complimentary pass for a two night stay.

Rates for the pre-season package start at $199 mid-week and $249 on the weekends at The Veranda House, and $169 midweek and $209 weekends at Chapman House.

The Veranda House and Chapman House both offer a range of amenities during your stay including:

  • Complimentary epicurean breakfast at Veranda House; complimentary continental buffet breakfast at Chapman House
  • Lavish beds, linens and towels, including Frette linens and towels available exclusively at Veranda House
  • Lather Bath Products
  • iPads and Apple TVs in the Chapman House.
  • Concierge Services at the Veranda House
  • Turn-Down Service at the Veranda House

In addition, the hotels are offering some additions to the packages. You can add on:

Bikes, Beer, Bartlett and Beach Package – A great way to enjoy a few cold ones while experiencing the beauty of the island, guests can peddle over to Nantucket’s own Cisco Brewers before heading over to Bartlett Farm to pick up their gourmet lunch for the beach. ($100 per person for two people).

Discover Nantucket Package – This 1 ½ hour tour is a great way to learn about the Island’s history and includes passes to Nantucket’s Whaling museum plus a surprise giveaway ($85 for two).

The Veranda House complex is comprised of three buildings - the main 18-room Veranda House renovated in 2008, the newly renovated 11-room Chapman House building that opened during the 2012 season, and the 3-room Arbor Cottage building. Both the Veranda House and Chapman House will open for the season on May 15, 2013.
