Baccarat plans luxury hotels, spas
Luxury is limitless, especially when it blends the best of all words: travel and retail. So when French crystal company Baccarat announced it was planning to open high-end residences, hotels and spas, luxury lovers around the world perked up.
In a statement released by Baccarat, the company plans to open six hotels, resorts and residences by 2016. The locations have been set:
- Baccarat Hotel & Residences New York (2014, shown right)
- Baccarat Hotel & Residences at Dubai Pearl in UAE (2016)
- Baccarat Residences Shanghai in China (2016)
- Baccarat Hotel Rabat, Morocco (2014)
- Baccarat Spa Resort Marrakech (2015)
- Baccarat Resort & Residences Marrakech (2016)
The Baccarat Hotel & Residences New York will be located on West 53rd Street, across from the Museum of Modern Art.
One of the most expansive Baccarat hotels will be in Rabat, the capital of Morocco. According to Spa Opportunities, the Baccarat Hotel Rabat in Morocco will have 130 rooms when it opens in 2014. The Baccarat-branded spa at the hotel will include six Moroccan hammams (three for women, three for men), two cool jade rooms, two warm amethyst rooms, and two hot crystal chromotherapy rooms. The spa will also feature eight treatment rooms, two VIP treatment suites, an alchemy area, an indoor and outdoor pool, a beauty and hair salon, a spa retail area, and fitness and yoga studios.
No word yet on whether or not the hotels and spas will feature Baccarat home furnishings, but my bet is on these hotels featuring a stellar gift shop.
