Sweet serenity

During what the Inn at Stockbridge gently calls ‘‘Serenity Season,’’ rooms and suites in the 1906 Georgian-style mansion and accommodations in the more recent Carriage House and Barn are more tranquilly priced. Until May 24, a room or suite, including breakfast, is $150 to $275; during March and April, guests staying two nights also receive wine and a cheese platter. For an additional $125 per room, guests receive a three-course dinner, including tax and service, at a local restaurant, along with a split of champagne and chocolates.

Route 7/30 East St., Stockbridge, 888-466-7865, stockbridgeinn.com.
