Lighthouses of New England

During an attempt to airlift the structure off its base for renovation in October 2003, Herrick Cove Light fell into Lake Sunapee. It turns out the 27-foot lighthouse weighed more than expected, but it was quickly rescued from the water and returned. Today it remains the only original building out of the three wooden, solar-powered lighthouses on the lake.
