One bite into Lake Champlain’s honey caramel, Woodfine praised the Vermont confectionary for its perfect caramel consistency. “This is what you want your caramel to be like,” she said. “It’s not hard, not too soft. Just perfect.” Woodfine also liked the way the chocolate was tempered, producing a nice shine. But she wasn’t as keen about some of lake Champlain’s other samples, including the maple crunch. “It’s just too dense.
