A state committee Monday unveiled an anticipated list of "1,000 Great Places" to visit in the Commonwealth, a Beacon Hill initiative hoping to not only highlight some of the state's most popular attractions, but some of the lesser-known spots as well.

You know about Fanueil Hall and the Cape Cod National Seashore, of course, but have you ever thought about packing up the family for the following?
