It’s hard to walk away with just one of the intoxicating baked goodies at the Wellesley Bakery & Cafe, where everything is made fresh daily by co-owner Phoumara Nuon. The savory and sweet croissants are a highlight; Lola recommends the spinach with feta and the almond raspberry. Inventive lunch wraps, such as the avocado club, are fresh and plentiful. There is minimal seating, but if you can grab a chair, it’s a nice place for a break. Just be sure to get a butterscotch or chocolate chip oatmeal cookie (each individually wrapped in a vellum pouch) on the way out.
