Climbing Mt. Washington

Shortly after we started to climb again we came across this sign warning us about the sometimes dangerous weather conditions. The weather is so reliably bad that there is an official weather observatory at the top of Mt. Washington. Researchers work and live there, and visitors can stop in to learn more about the history of weather conditions at the top of the mountain.
