The Sagamore flyover may have made it easier to get on and off the Cape, but if it lacks romance, take Cape Cod’s Elegant Dinner Train from Buzzards Bay and begin and end your journey by crossing the elevated railroad bridge across the Cape Cod Canal. Starting this summer (July 11-Sept. 12), this adults-only, dress-up train will have departures from Buzzards Bay for the first time. It’s a blast from the past: a five-course meal served on white linen in vintage dining cars. If you would rather ride and eat with the kids, the family supper train will also have a couple of departures from Buzzards Bay. The railroad’s dinner trains and other excursions from Hyannis run from May through late October.
