The Show in Snow

Posted by Ethan Binns November 18, 2006 10:59 AM

Some weather! Enjoy it while you can. It would be nicer in late April, not so much now. Here is the thing, it is going to change. You will wake up one day soon, look out your window, and see snow. The shift from these pleasantly mild temperatures for this time of year in New England will occur. That is a fact. It will most likely happen sooner rather than later. So you had better be ready.

Where is the SNOW? Here is a good LINK, take a few minutes.

Offbeat Note: The Leonid Meteor Showers are tonight (11/18/2006 from 11 pm – 5 am) peaking between midnight and 1 am (seen in the sky near the constellation Leo). It will be a clear night for viewing if you are awake and away from the city’s light pollution.

Not ready for the season?

Think of it like this. Mother Nature has just given you a tardy pass. All the resorts are back in the gate for the restart. The race is on.

I have some things to certainly take care of myself. I made it down to the ski show on Thursday night. The place was electric. I spent most of the time there just catching up with friends. I did not get to any of my personal list.

Check out these galleries for a taste of what is at the ski show.

The Plan: Looks like a nice weekend in front of us. Slip back into the Bayside Expo center and scratch some of those preseason needs off of the list before the football games derail any productivity.
