Bretton Woods ~ Open for skiing and riding!

Posted by Ethan Binns November 11, 2007 11:08 PM

After the two big guns in Maine opened their slopes to skiers and riders it goes unsaid that more ski areas across New England would be following the lead.

This weekend Bretton Woods was the first New Hampshire mountain to take advantage of the cold air over the past week and show off the hard wok of the mountain operations snowmaking team.

Bretton Woods opened on Saturday (11/10/07). Terrain was limited - as expected - but there is more on the way. Check back to the website daily for updates. Bretton Woods

Here are a few details of early season planning and rates.

• The Learning Center quad with skiing on Rosebrook Lane will start things off for the season.
• Terrain park elements, including two rails and a fun box will be set up for early-season jibbing.
• Lift tickets for the Learning Center quad are free.
• The Bethlehem Express quad will be fired up at the first opportunity (weather permitting) to offer a couple more trails for skiing, at which time tickets will be at an early-season rate of $39.
• Lifts will operate from 8 am to 4 pm on weekends (and holidays) and from 9 am to 4 pm midweek throughout the season.

Stay tuned here to find out when your favorite area is going to get into the mix!

Keep making snow,
