Color - Photo of the Week
Here is the look up from the slopes of Arapahoe Basin at it's 13,050 feet the peak is the highest in bounds terrain in the lower 48 states.
Last year the ski area opened an additional 900 acres in the Montezuma Bowl making it a place that is worth revisiting, if you have never been get there this season..

For those thinking of skiing here , the altitude is rough on the breathing for flatlanders , ( ie . anywhere East of Denver). High altitude sickness is a real issue. Research the issue and Spend a couple of days acclimating before skiing to avoid problems .
SG reply - I have never had any alttitude issues, but it hits different people in different ways. If you do your homework and drink lots of water you should be alright. Just know the signs of trouble so you do not get in any n the slopes...
