Plenty of resorts got good snow. Those with the best snowmaking that were already spinning the lift are the ones where you can go and take advantage of some fantastic conditions.

Sunday River has events and activities going on this holiday weekend. See the attached press release for details from the mountain itself.

NEWRY, MAINE (November 25, 2008) – Skiers and riders were greeted with their first true snow day of the season at Sunday River. Snow continues to accumulate, and in some spots on the mountain, has grown to over eight inches since the storm started. Skiing and riding is on 22 trails and over 100 acres today with more terrain expected to open thanks to Mother Nature and nonstop snowmaking over the course of the past two weeks.

For Thanksgiving weekend, Sunday River is preparing a fine feast of activities including Family Trivia Night on Friday, the TBD Open Rail Jam event on Saturday, a STEEZIN TV Party premiere featuring live music from Surf Below Zero on Saturday night, and our Annual Demo Days taking place from 8-12 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Get up to Maine and make some early season tracks in fresh snow.
