Winter Roars into New England!

Posted by Ethan Binns December 22, 2008 09:51 PM

Mountains are reporting new snow totals between 24” – 48” in the last four days. A large percentage of those totals arrived on Sunday. The first real day of Winter made a mark.

Little known fact: dump 4 Feet of snow on any mountain in New England and the skiing will be breathtaking.

What we have now is just that—on top of the good bases half-heartedly jest about last week—and the skiing/riding is blissful.

Honestly, conditions are wicked fantastic right now. Certain spots got more snow then others, so check this LINK for your favorite.

Wednesday is going to be an absolute gem. I skied on Saturday. It was remarkable snow. Dry and light. It was so cold that a ton of the snowflakes looked like floating diamonds. Point is that things were already up to par and we just got a lot more snow on Sunday.

Today wind and cold probably kept places quiet.

Tomorrow Sunshine prevails and many freshies will be had.

S.G. Xmas List = Cold Air. That is it, there is more precipitation in the forecast. I am really praying this window of good conditions stays open through this coming weekend…
