Saddleback Mountain Challenge

Here is something you can circle up on your calendar. Saturday 02/28/09 is the first ever Saddleback Mountain Challenge (SMC).

This is a serious race.

If you got the right gear, and are into physically challenging things - keep reading...

Saddleback is starting what undoubtly will catch on as an annual event. This type of race is fairly easy on the resort and punishing on the competitors.

There are free season passes at stake!

Long story – Short

• Climb 1800 vertical feet
• Traverse forever, and then some more
• Ski steep and fast to the finish line
• Conditions will factor into results

This style of event/race is becoming a very popular trend in the East.

• Half a Binding - Half a Brain

From the resort..

The first place finishers, in both the men's and women's division, will receive a 2009-2010 Saddleback Mountain Season's Pass. There will also be silver and bronze prizes. For all participants there is a commemorative t-shirt, spaghetti dinner and celebration in the fireplace room in Saddleback's beautiful post and beam lodge

Fact: The S.G. would be there, and making the run, if not predissposed..
