Ski blogger Sam Lozier is spending a chunk of this winter skiing in India.
After a night of violent stomach illness in Dharamshala, and a queasy taxi ride, my friends and I arrived in Dharamshala last night. Up with the sun, I've been back on my feet since this morning, and haven't stopped moving since. We're currently residing in a great homestay spot in Vashisht, which is up the road from Manali. After a late lunch, we rode them up the valley to Solang Nalla, getting back just in time for a pre-dinner, hot-spring soak. Tomorrow, we'll ride up to snow line with skis on our back and do a little touring (assuming the forecasted rain holds off). If it isn't clear already, and as long there is snow at the end of the road, I think I may have just found paradise.
