OK, so it's not quite like what Tahoe is about to get slammed with, but temperatures have dropped and snow guns are blazing all over New England. Sunday River (which re-opened today for the season) is blowing on four peaks today, which should mean for expanded terrain heading into the weekend. Meanwhile, over in Vermont, Killington received a little bit of natural to mix in with its efforts this morning. Other resorts yet to open, including Jay Peak, Sugarbush, Waterville Valley, Loon, Stratton, and Mount Snow, among others, have flipped the switch in the hopes of opening in time for the Thanksgiving weekend.

Many resorts had planned to open this weekend, a hope that became an impossibility following our recent stretch of warm weather. More seasonable temperatures are expected over the next two weeks.
