I know...it' early season, but we are psyched to ski Okemo this weekend. You know what they say about the early bird in New England. You get the goods. Besides, someone has to ski the plentiful piles of snow being made at the powerhouse resorts: Sunday River, Killington, Mount Snow and Okemo.
Their guns have been blazing, burying trails in winter white in anticipation of the busy holidays. Our holiday tradition is to ski before the Christmas crush. When everyone else is crawling the mall, we are away from the crowds carving on freshly-groomed cord.
Okemo has over 200 of its 632 acres open. For added fun, the Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge will be hosting their fun race and amping us up with free soda, and Ski Magazine will be providing demos as part of the People's Test - you get to sample the latest boards and share your input.
See you on the slopes.
