Lindsey Vonn was hurt while training downhill at Copper Mountain in Colorado this morning.
The U.S. Ski Team's four-time overall ski racing champion had successfully returning to the slopes earlier this month following extensive rehab and recovery from her knee injury in February at Schladming Austria. Vonn was taken off the hill in a sled. Tom Kelly, US Ski Team spokesperson, said this is standard procedure. 29-year-old Vonn will undergo an MRI immediately according to SkiRacing.com and U.S. Ski Team representatives.
Lindsey Vonn was expected to make a return to World Cup ski racing next week at Beaver Creek, with further plans to compete in Sochi Winter Games in February 2014.
Sunday night Lindsey Vonn was spotted with boyfriend Tiger Woods at the Chiefs-Broncos game. Last week Woods and Vonn were seen skiing at Breckenridge Colorado.
Stay tuned for news on the extent of Lindsey Vonn's injury and her ski racing future.
