Over 200 skiing and snowboarding Santas hit the snowy slopes of Sunday River today, enjoying an early White Christmas. Sunday River hosted the 14th annual Santa Sunday, and the jolly skiers and riders raised over $2,000 for the local Rotary by each donating at least $10 to participate. Each Santa received their gift of a free ski ticket for today, and another lift ticket to visit Sunday River again before Christmas.
Sunday River has 43 trails open, served by 7 lifts with over 200 acres of terrain for skiing and riding including the new T72 terrain park trail designed by Simon Dumont featuring the longest jump line in the East. Santa was seen getting air time in the park without his reindeer or his sleigh.
Happy Holidays from the slopes.
