Idaho – for snow, not just potatoes
Ever thought of taking your family skiing in Idaho? I didnt think so. As the license plate indicates, Idaho is more about famous potatoes. Few people realize that Idaho is the origin of American skiing; Sun Valley was the first ski resort in America. Even fewer go to Idaho on a family ski trip that was good news for us when we visited last February. We skied five of Idahos 18 ski areas and loved the thumbs-up shaped state for its wide open snowy slopes, spectacular scenery and genuine Idahoans.
