A calming madness

The Pitcher Inn, a Relaix & Château property in Warren, Vt., calls one of its two-night spa packages March Madness Escape to Vermont. In addition to accommodations, guests get a $50 certificate per person, per stay, toward a Sugarbush lift ticket or a one-hour Swedish massage at the Alta Day Spa; a full breakfast and afternoon tea daily; and a three-course dinner. Prices start at $699 midweek, per room. The other package, Relax & Rejuvenate, Vermont Style is similar except that it features two one-hour spa treatments per person and begins at $1,199.
