Towering over the Connecticut River, the historic Goodspeed Opera House has an equally lofty reputation as a hothouse for musical theater. Goodspeed Musicals, which rescued the six-story Victorian confection from demolition in the 1960s, has sent 19 of its productions to Broadway. This summer's shows (tickets from $26) include 42nd Street and Camelot.
