I Scream, You Scream

Nothing cures summer boredom like a stomach-dropping 20-story dip. Take a spin on the newly souped up Bizarro (formerly Superman: Ride of Steel) at Six Flags New England, and you'll also experience teeth-rattling turns at 77 miles per hour, heart-thumping audio, and special effects, including fog banks and fire bursts. It all lasts 3 minutes and 20 seconds — an eternity for a coaster. Your legs will be wobbly afterward, but you'll want to get right back in line.
Six Flags New England, 1623 Main Street, Agawam, 413-786-9300, sixflags.com/newengland.
