Pere-Lachaise has nothing on Hope Cemetery, a Barre landmark that feels more like an open-air sculpture park than hallowed ground. It used to be that one of the perks of working in the area's quarries was a block of granite of your very own; many folks carved them into larger-than-life sculptures to grace their final resting places.
