Toronto-based upstart Porter Airlines Inc., which launched in 2006, plans to say today that it will begin daily service between Boston and Toronto City Centre Airport, according to an aviation official with knowledge of the airline’s plans. The airline is planning to launch three daily flights between Logan International Airport and the Toronto airport, which is located at the western end of the Toronto islands, the official said.

Porter Airlines could not immediately be reached for comment.

Porter also serves Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax, Newark, and Chicago Midway airports, with seasonal flights to Mont Tremblant, Quebec. The company has said that it plans to fly to at least 17 short-haul Canadian and US destinations.
