Visitors wander down the Grosse Freiheit, a side street of the Reeperbahn in the red-light district of St. Pauli. The district is one of the best places in Europe for clubs and bars and music, and has been since the Beatles played the Star-Club, the Indra, and the Kaiserkeller in the early '60s.
