Where to stay
Rates at Reserva Amazonica are pegged to one-, two- or multi-night itineraries, and include the activities and basic equipment for them, bilingual guides, lodging, meals, and airport transfers. Per-person rates for one night are in a standard cabin are $120-$145 double occupancy or $150-$175 single; two nights are $190-$240 and $250-$300.
Bring flashlight, mosquito repellent, binoculars, and rainwear, in addition to tropical gear (sun tan lotion, hat, light cotton long pants, and shirts). The lodge provides rubber boots for excursions. December-March is the rainy season, but rain is possible year round. This area is at a very small risk for malaria, but discuss preventive measures with your doctor. Yellow fever vaccination is recommended for the rain forest.
