Tour Florida's Everglades
Dawn comes to the Tamiami Trail with a balloon of light lifting above prairies of marsh.
While the road built in the early 1900s was hailed for connecting Tampa and Miami, it blocked the natural flow of water on which the Everglades depends. Correcting this problem is part of an Everglades restoration superproject that environmental attorney Richard Grosso calls "the most ambitious environmental rescue ever attempted by man."
