Restaurante Nuevo Leon on 18th Street in the Pilsen section of Chicago, where Daniel Guttierrez Jr. is the third generation of his family to run the restaurant. Gutierrez's grandparents moved in the 1950s into Pilsen, a working-class neighborhood where people have traditionally worked for nearby slaughterhouses and railroad companies.
